Ravenswood is a large piece of property located north of the intersection of Hansville Road and Little Boston Road on the Port Gamble S’Klallam Reservation. This approximately 8 acre area was used as a mobile home park for several decades. Since then, the mobile home park has been closed and all trailers removed. There is evidence that this property was historically part of the railroad roundhouse complex located nearby. This piece of property has a large potential to be redeveloped and help our tribes economic growth.
A Phase I assessment was performed (see report below) on this site to look for evidence of potential contaminates such as lead-based paint, heating oil and metals from railroad operations. The report shows that this site does not have any signs of contamination, with exception to one small area. There is a possibility that contaminates exist inside the septic tank once used for the mobile home park, which can be remediated by pumping and properly disposing of the remaining sewage.
